Chocolate Cheesecake Bundt Cake is one of my old experimental recipes from 2006. I made it once or twice and forgot about it. Back when I first made it I said I'd keep experimenting, and I'm finally done! The new version is here.
Chocolate Cream Cheese Tunnel Cake
Old Chocolate Cheesecake Bundt Post and Recipe
Here's the scoop. Version 3, the one I accidentally forgot to seal with foil, turned out to be really good, so I think I'm going to recommend skipping the foil part and bake uncovered. Here are the new directions. When I get back from NYC (bye, btw), I will work more on this cake. It's good like this, but I want to try it with some variations and make sure it will work for everyone.

I made this cake yesterday and brought it to work today. Didn't have the dark chocolate chips so used the new Chocolatier bittersweet ones. I should have read the comments first and baked the cheesecake layer for a bit before adding the cake layer. When I unmolded the cake, the cheesecake layer stayed in the pan. I carefully put it back down, stuck it in the refrigerator, and it came out perfectly this a.m. My cake is not as firm as the one in the picture looks though; when you cut into it, it's more like a pudding cake. Still delicious and no complaints from coworkers.

Hi Leah, I'll check out your site.
Rachael and Lili, see the pumpkin cake above this. You could use the cake component of the pumpkin cake for this one. Cook time might change slightly considering the water bath. I think I'd bake the cheesecake portion alone in the water bath for 10 minutes, then pour the chocolate cake batter (again, the one in the pumpkin bundt post) on and bake another 45 minutes or until done.
