Combine crumbs, pecans, just 1 cup of the confectioners' sugar, and cocoa.
Combine the bourbon and corn syrup in a second bowl, then scrape into the dry mixture. At this point you can attempt shape the balls or you can chill the dough and shape it later. I found it pretty easy to just shape the balls right away.
Using a tablespoon, scoop up dough and shape into balls.
Cover the shaped balls and store in the refrigerator. Shortly before serving, dust with extra confectioners' sugar.
